ABOUT DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS |

There is an old saying: "sorrow that has no vent in tears may make other organs weep". This might well apply to the gastrointestinal tract, the tube that extends from the mouth to the rectum. Many of the digestive problems and other disorders that involve the gastrointestinal tract have a marked 'emotional' component - gastric ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, and ulcerative colitis come to mind. The goal of this section is to present information about diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and digestive disorders.
