Boxing Day Eggnog (again)

Robert W. Griffith, MD

A year ago today I posted a piece about eggnog, as being a suitable 'hair of the dog' and a possible source of omega-3 fatty acids. Since then, recognition of the importance of omega-3s has increased. They appear to be relevant for cardiovascular health and survival, mental health, bone density, immunological diseases, and some cancers.

The best way to get enough omega-3 fatty acids is to eat more fish, according to the American Heart Association. It's certainly better for you than eggnog.
