CDC Updates Guidelines for Swine Flu

According to a recent media briefing, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its guidelines on the management and reporting of the 2009 H1N1, or swine flu, virus. Although the CDC still recommends treatment with oseltamivir and zanamivir for individuals with suspected or confirmed swine flu and for individuals at high risk for complications, their latest recommendations also include an option for waiting before providing preventative therapy. FDA Approves Four Swine Flu Vaccines
