My wife (25 years old) has noticed what she considers to be an increased rate of hair loss over the past two years. What's the best way to go?
In the recent past she has had good success with a naturopathic approach. Is there any information on this topic?
You say you have had "good success with a naturopathic approach in the recent past" and you wonder if this is a reasonable approach. In fact, the actual cause of hair loss should be treated. Therefore, we would advise that your wife report her symptoms to her own doctor who knows her and her medical history, who can discuss her concerns, and can diagnose the cause. If medication is causing hair loss, the doctor may be able to prescribe an alternative medicine. Recognizing and treating an infection may help stop hair loss. Or correcting a hormone imbalance may prevent further hair loss. If stress is the cause, whatever's causing the stress needs to be attended to, and so on. Taking a self-prescribed naturopathic remedy is putting the cart before the horse.
