The founder members of Healthy Ageing Watch:

Hannes B. Staehelin was from 1977-2002 chairman of the department of Geriatric Medicine at the university hospital Basel and professor of Geriatrics at the University of Basel. He founded in 1985 the first Memory Clinic on continental Europe and was co-initiator of the European Academy for Medicine of Aging (EAMA) in Sion Switzerland. His research focused on prevention of chronic illnesses, neurodegenerative diseases, and nutrition.

Charles Studer spent 40 years with Sandoz/Novartis in Switzerland, Germany, Australia, India and the Philippines. From 1993 to 2003 he was Vice President of the former Sandoz/ Novartis Foundation for Gerontology. His work experience covers online health promotion, communication and general management.

Heinz Redwood, B.Sc., Ph.D., is an independent Pharma and Health Policy Consultant, based in the UK, with work experience in Europe, North America, Japan and in emerging economies like Brazil, India, Thailand and Algeria. He is the author of numerous books and articles on pharmaceutical and health care topics and has spoken at seminars and conferences in 16 countries.
