Question

I was prescribed antidepressant medication. How long does it take until I feel better?

Answer

Modern antidepressants are able to benefit about 50%-60% of depressives within a matter of weeks. However, there is some interindividual variability. You should see the doctor who has prescribed the antidepressants on a regular basis. If there is no improvement within 3 or 4 weeks he will probably discuss changes in therapeutic strategy with you.
